#1 - Gael Song
I really thought I was going to be into this book. Irish mythology - Formorians, the Tuatha dé Danann - plus two strong female protagonists...this should be right up my alley. It wasn't. I just never tuned into the struggle between the two groups and the inherent politics therein. The writing was fine; it just never grabbed me. Still, there were moments where I felt much more connected and invested in the journey. It feels a little Game of Thrones - another series I thought would grab me but didn't. I sort of floated through this novel.
