#2 - Aunties
Sutanto knows how to write a fun, comedic murder mystery. The blending of cultures, the antics of the aunties...I was giggling through a number of passages in this novel. I was happy to have all four return for this sequel to DIAL A FOR AUNTIES (how could they not?). The shenanigans are wilder than before and poor Meddy is really caught at the crux of it all. I liked some of the new characters we got to meet. I have to admit; I did guess the lynchpin of the motive and that's a rarity for me. It didn't ruin the fun of it, though. I was having a great time. Plus, I learned a bit in the process - not about murder, of course, but about culture. I'm looking forward to the third installment of the Aunties series.
