I picked this one up because of a post I saw on social media. It was an easy read; a nice, mostly straightforward period romance with a nod to Austen. Jasper Maycott, a new earl, finds a young woman on the ground, having been thrown from her horse. When she awakens, she has amnesia but makes a comment that leads Jasper to believe there is someone chasing her. I like the element of mystery that comes with Jane (as she is called), as well as her pert demeanor. The whole Maycott clan is a fair host of fun characters and that was the real draw for me. I rather floated through the story, neither gripped by it nor disinterested. If you're looking for a light historical romance, this is a good one.
