#1 - Nico di Angelo Adventures
If you've looked at any previous reviews, it's fairly obvious that I adore everything that is written with the world of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and THE SUN AND THE STAR was no exception. This has popped up a few times on my radar but it was one of my students who told me it was about Nico and Will and that I immediately had to read it. So I did. I really enjoy this couple, not just because of the queer element, but because they are coming at the world from such opposite perspectives and have to deal with their issues to make the relationship work. This novel also brings back some old favorites and introduces new ones. I feel that I should have finished off the Trials of Apollo before picking this up and yet, I didn't feel that I was at a loss at any point. There are some wonderful moments in this book and an expansion to a world that is already well-developed. Looking forward to more from Nico and Will.
"The stories will give us strength for the journey."
